Terms and Conditions
The terms governing your use of the YallaMobile website, apps and services — including our device-repair knowledge tools, YM Diag analysis, training, and subscriptions.
Draft — pending legal counsel review
This is the current published draft of this document. It has not yet completed review by our legal counsel, and its wording may be refined once that review concludes. If you have a question about anything here, contact us at contactus@yallamob.com.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of yallamob.com and YallaMobile's applications and related services. By using any of our services or creating an account, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with any part of them, you must stop using the services. Our services are offered to persons with the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable law.
2. Description of the Services
- Device-repair knowledge tools: a shared knowledge base of documented repair cases that powers our products.
- YM Diag: an Android bug-report analysis service (on the web, with a companion app) producing findings grounded in evidence extracted from the submitted report itself, with supporting explanations.
- Desktop and mobile applications: such as Yalla Mobile Desktop, YM Assistant TEAM and YM Assistant TOOL, as actually available and published in the official Download Center.
- Training and educational content: Academy programs, courses and their related material.
- Accounts and entitlements (subscriptions): a unified account through which access to products and paid plans is managed.
- We may add, change or discontinue services and features; what the website and the Download Center show at any given time is the authoritative statement of what is available.
3. Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Some services tie entitlements to a limited number of devices or to daily usage limits under your plan; those limits are shown inside the service itself.
- Accounts may not be shared, and entitlements may not be sold or redistributed outside your account, without our written consent.
- We may restrict or suspend any account used in breach of these Terms or in a way that threatens the security of the service or its users.
4. Paid Subscriptions and the Current Payment Process
Paid subscriptions and entitlements are currently activated manually: you send your request through the website or our announced contact channels (such as WhatsApp), and our team reviews it and activates it manually once the agreed payment is completed. No electronic payment takes place inside the apps themselves. If online payment through a payment gateway becomes available later, that will be announced explicitly on the website, and it would then be processed by the announced payment provider without your card details being stored on our systems. All payments are subject to the published Refund Policy page, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
- The services may not be used for any unlawful activity, to harm others, or to infringe intellectual-property rights.
- You may not attempt to circumvent usage limits, entitlement checks or device-binding mechanisms, or to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to other users' data.
- You may not systematically extract, republish or sell the knowledge-base content (including automated scraping) beyond normal personal or professional use within the service.
- When you upload a device bug report for analysis, you must be authorized to do so by the device's owner, and you are responsible for having that authorization.
- You may not upload harmful content (malware, or content that violates the law) through any of our services.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
- The website, the apps, our marks and logos, and the educational and knowledge content we publish are owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual-property laws.
- We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the services and content for their intended purpose, within your account's entitlements.
- Content you upload (such as bug reports) remains yours; by uploading it you grant us a license to process and store it as needed to provide and improve the requested service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- How personal data is handled is governed by the published Privacy Policy, which complements these Terms.
7. TEAM Contributions and the Reward Model
The YM ASSISTANT TEAM platform lets participating technicians document real repair cases (device, fault, diagnosis, fix). Every case is reviewed and approved by our admins before publication, and approved cases feed the shared knowledge base our products rely on (such as YM Assistant TOOL and YM Diag). By contributing, you confirm that a documented case is your own genuine work and does not infringe anyone's rights, and you grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use and publish it within our ecosystem and products. Contributors earn rewards based on the volume of their published (approved) cases; the reward program's details, values and conditions are announced by us directly, and we may change the program in the future without affecting rewards already earned before the change. Whether a case is approved is an editorial decision that rests with our admins, to protect the quality of the knowledge base.
8. Nature of Diagnostic Results — Important Disclaimer
The output of YM Diag and of our knowledge and diagnostic tools is informational guidance based on the data available in the submitted report or case. It is not a guarantee of any repair outcome, and it does not replace direct physical inspection or the professional judgment of a qualified technician. The decision to perform any repair, how it is performed, and its results are the responsibility of the person performing it. For critical devices or valuable data, we always recommend consulting a qualified technician before taking any action.
9. Warranty Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
- The services are provided "as is" and "as available", without any express or implied warranty as to the accuracy of results, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted, error-free operation.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including loss of data or profits, or device damage resulting from repair decisions taken based on the service's output.
- In all cases, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amounts you paid us for the service concerned in the twelve months preceding the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
10. Suspension and Termination
- You may stop using the services at any time, and you may request deletion of your account in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or terminate your access to a service or account upon a material breach of these Terms, or upon misuse that threatens the service or its users, notifying you where reasonably practicable.
- Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature survive it (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability), nor rights or obligations that arose before termination.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you hold in your country of residence that cannot be contracted away. (This clause is preliminary wording pending approval by legal counsel.)
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change we will publish the updated version on this page and will seek to notify you through an appropriate channel (such as an on-site notice or email). Continuing to use the services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of it; if you do not agree, you must stop using the services.
